Understanding the condition
Chronic kidney disease progressively reduces the kidneys' ability to cleanse the body and, at an advanced stage, requires dialysis. In Morocco, the number of patients on dialysis keeps growing, and life is organised around the sessions, dietary constraints and laboratory monitoring. Daily life is demanding: fluid restriction, a diet low in potassium and phosphorus, and careful care of the vascular access. Our qualified nurses, employed by SOS Nursing, provide home-based monitoring of the fistula or catheter, blood sampling and pre- and post-dialysis care in Marrakech, in close coordination with the nephrologist. This home follow-up, between sessions, improves the patient's comfort, makes the vascular access safe and helps prevent the most frequent complications.

What the nurse does at every visit

Chronic kidney disease falls under long-term illnesses (ALD). Nursing acts (AMI) are coded according to the NGAP and reimbursable by AMO/CNSS, with a compliant coded receipt and a signed care record.
