What is your cover?
Every insurer handles home nursing care differently. Choose your situation to understand what is covered, the documents to gather and the steps to get reimbursed in Marrakech.
SOS Nursing is a managed, independent home-care and private-ambulance service. We are neither a health fund nor a mutual insurer, and we do not guarantee any reimbursement: that depends on your contract and your provider. Our role is to hand you a signed care record and a coded receipt compliant with the NGAP nomenclature, which speed up your claim with your insurer.
How reimbursement works, step by step
In Morocco, most schemes operate on a reimbursement model (pay-then-claim): you pay for the service, then submit your file to be reimbursed. Here is the path we map out for you.

Medical prescription
Nursing care is reimbursed when prescribed by a doctor. If you do not have a prescription, we arrange a home consultation or a teleconsultation.

Care delivered and documented
A state-certified nurse, vetted by us, attends to you at home in Marrakech and records every act performed.

NGAP-coded receipt
You receive a signed care record and an itemised receipt, coded according to the NGAP nomenclature, listing the rating of each act (AMI).

Filing your claim
You submit the prescription, the receipt and your provider's form (health fund, mutual insurer or insurer) online or at the counter.
- 05
Reimbursement
Your provider reimburses according to your cover rate. A complementary plan can then cover the out-of-pocket balance.
Insurance and home care: your questions
- Is home nursing care reimbursable in Morocco?
- Yes, when it is prescribed by a doctor and corresponds to acts listed in the nomenclature (AMI acts). Depending on your situation, it may be covered by AMO (CNSS or CNOPS), a mutual insurer, travel insurance or international health insurance. Our NGAP-coded receipt is designed to be used directly by your provider.
- Do you offer direct billing?
- The Moroccan system mostly works on a reimbursement model (pay-then-claim): you pay for the service, then claim reimbursement. For some travel and international insurers, direct billing is sometimes possible after prior agreement from the assistance provider. In every case we hand you the coded supporting documents you need.
- Do I need a prescription to be reimbursed?
- In most cases, yes. Without a medical prescription, nursing acts are in principle not covered. If you do not yet have a prescription, we arrange a medical visit or a teleconsultation before the care is delivered.
- Do you guarantee reimbursement?
- No. Reimbursement depends on your contract, your cover rate and your provider. Our commitment is the quality and compliance of the supporting documents we hand you, which make your claim simpler and faster.
- Is my health data protected?
- Yes. The care record is processed in compliance with Law 09-08 on the protection of personal data and with the CNDP's requirements. You remain in control of the information you share with your insurer.
