Understanding the condition

Obstructive sleep apnoea affects a growing number of Moroccans, often undiagnosed. In Marrakech, the heat leads people to sleep with windows closed and the air conditioning on, worsening dryness of the airways. The reference treatment is continuous positive airway pressure ventilation (CPAP or BiPAP), which requires correct setup, precise adjustment and regular monitoring of adherence. Our qualified nurses come to your home to set up the device, fit the mask, check the seal, read the memory-card data and send a report to the pulmonologist. If tolerance is poor, they suggest alternative masks and adjust the settings as prescribed.

Why home care for Sleep Apnea Home Care

Untreated sleep apnoea triples the risk of stroke and significantly increases the risk of drowsiness at the wheel.

CPAP/BiPAP setup

Commissioning the device, setting the pressures as prescribed by the pulmonologist, choosing and fitting the mask.

Adherence monitoring

Reading the memory card, analysing the number of hours of use and the residual apnoea index, reporting to the doctor.

Mask adjustment

Trying different models (nasal, full-face, nasal-pillow) to optimise comfort and reduce leaks.

Equipment maintenance

Cleaning the circuit, replacing filters and consumables, checking that the humidifier is working properly.

Frequently asked questions

  • Yes, we offer CPAP and BiPAP devices as part of our medical equipment service. The nurse handles installation and training.

  • During the adjustment phase (first month): 2 to 3 visits to fit the mask and adjust the settings. After that: a monthly or quarterly visit for adherence follow-up.
