Understanding the condition
Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease, very common after the age of fifty, that mainly affects the knees, hips, spine and hands. In Morocco, it is one of the leading causes of chronic pain and loss of mobility in older people. Daily life becomes difficult: getting up, walking, climbing stairs, doing household tasks. Pain and stiffness discourage activity, which further worsens the stiffening and muscle loss. Our nurses and carers, employed by SOS Nursing, work at home in Marrakech to relieve pain, maintain mobility through gentle exercises and make the environment safe, in coordination with the treating physician and the physiotherapist. The aim is to preserve independence and to break the vicious circle of pain and immobility.

AMO / CNSS coverage
Depending on the situation, nursing acts (AMI) coded according to the NGAP may qualify for AMO/CNSS reimbursement, particularly in the aftermath of surgery. Each visit gives rise to a compliant coded receipt and a signed care record.
