Day & night watch in Guéliz

Guéliz is the heart of Marrakech's new town, laid out on a neat grid around avenue Mohammed V, which links the ONCF station to place du 16 Novembre. With its pavement cafés, brasseries, the boutiques of rue de la Liberté and rue de Yougoslavie, its Haussmann-style buildings and modern apartment blocks, the district has a lively, cosmopolitan, distinctly urban feel. You will find long-established Marrakech families here, alongside young professionals, retirees and a large community of European expatriates who value being close to the shops and services.

Medically, Guéliz is probably the best-equipped district in the city: several private clinics, specialist practices, medical laboratories, imaging centres and a great many duty pharmacies are packed into just a few hundred metres. This concentration of care makes Guéliz a natural relay point after a hospital stay: you leave the clinic and continue your treatment at home, just around the corner, with no break in your care.
